Journal made from cereal box

I have collected a few cereal boxes to make some homemade journals.  Last week I blogged about that being on my to do list to make a journal for my free class on time .  Then today Faber-Castell posted a green challenge for making something using an egg carton,  cereal box or a coffee cup sleeve.  Well I just had started the journal with my cereal box as the cover…. So I love when 2 or 3 things come together …….

The cover I covered first with pieces of Cosmo Cricket papers from the Odds and Ends Collection……  I chose it because of the circles which represent to me never ending ……. as in time or clock with no hands, ring, and a black hole and will add more to my cover as they come to me.  So if anyone has a suggestion to add just make a comment and tell me……  I then painted with clear gesso and on to acrylic paints.  Then I used the Faber- Castell  PITT artist pen big brush to add shading around the outside and inside of the circle…… I love them for that….. I almost forgot I had used my Cinch to bind the sketch, water color and  mix media papers I had cut to put in my journal.

OK here are the pictures and I will post a final one on the Faber-Castell Facebook to enter to win some of their produces.
