God Bless America – Operation Write Home Blog Hop

IMG_1391

Operation Write Home is having this blog hop this weekend so that in some small way we can show our appreciation and admiration to all those who have and are serving our country.  Our freedom does NOT come cheap or easy.  Everyday that price is paid for us.    Words are just not enough to convey my thanks for all that has been done and will continue to be done for OUR freedom.

Our red, white, and blue flag with that lonely figure looking off in the distance with thoughts of that loved one who is away from her.  What a sacrifice both are making for me and for you.

I will be sending this card to one  person who comments on my blog during the blog hop.  If you would like to have this card please let me know when you comment and I will draw a winner at the end of blog hop and will mail it to you.

NOW THE NEXT ONE ON THE BLOG HOP IS Stephanie.  And if you get lost along the way here is the starting point again….. Operation Write Home.

Operation Write Home's Mission is -
To support our nation’s armed forces by sending blank greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.

What a lovely card. And, yes I would love it, but if I should happen to win, maybe you could send it to Operation Write Home -- I'm sure they could find someone who would love to have it. TFS

Thanks Harriet - I love this card...you can just visualize a little girl standing in the water at the beach and looking out across the ocean and thinking of her daddy. If I win send to OWH please (since I have both of these stamp sets I may be casing your card - TFS!)

Hi Harriet Sweetie...
I am Country Wings your newest follower and my gosh who wouldn't love to have this card. What an awesome creation. The young woman looking across the ocean to her beloved soldier. How beautiful and the American flag along with the soldier, just beautiful, so very beautiful. Thank you for sharing with me.

I have never made a card, but I am going to start. I want to make some for the OWH also. I can hardly wait to browse about the house and see what I have that will allow me to create a few to send. I have been confined to the house for a month, and was just given 2 more weeks on Friday. I have severe lung issues and chronic asthma that is not allowing me outside of the house other than for Dr. appt./lab and x-rays. I spent 8 days in the hospital, so I am trying to get healthy. I have not been allowed out to shop, so my resources are thin, but I am going to see what I can create. You ladies on this blog hop have so inspired me, and I adore this creation of love that you have put together.

Please stop by and say hi. I would be so honored if you signed up to follow me as well. I love meeting new friends. Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

What a wonderful card! Such a fantastic idea to bring these two images together. If I were to win the card please send it to OWH. We have a young son who would be insulted if I tried to send it to his Daddy since it has a girl on it instead of a boy! :D

what an amazing card! If I were to win it, I'd have you send it to OWH instead since that's where I'd send it anyways :)
