Sketch Girl Challenge #15

Another great sketch challenge from Sketch Girl, Leigh Ann.  I love doing sketches.  They take part of the creating process and make it a lot easier.  This sketch challenge is sponsored by Phindy's Place.  She is an amazing artist!  Phindy is offering a $10 gift certificate to her store to the SG15 winner.

So, without further ado  - the challenge #15

I colored the bunny with my Copic Markers.  The papers are from Basic Grey "Lemonade" and i believe it is the valentines collection from My Minds Eye.  I cut the image with my rectangle deckle nestibilites and distressed around the edge with Ranger Distress Ink "Antique Linen".  The flower is a SU scallop punch and a circle punch is what the sentiment is stamped with the "Antique Linen" Distressed Ink.  The two rhinestones were from my stash.

Sketch Girl Challenge Blog

I am so honored…..

My friend Kym gave me this award.  She is such a beautiful person I cherish her friendship.  We met online on a DT team and then had a chance to met in person when she and hubby pasted thru East Tennessee on their way to the beach and vacation.   We had dinner and talked and talked.  She is such a wonderful friend and such a blessing and inspiration for me.  Thank you Kym for this honor of your friendship and this award.

Now I am suppose to tell you 10 things about myself that you probably don’t know.

Well, here goes…..

1.  I have traveled and lived in many different places and countries.

2.  I am 4’11” making me as wide as I am tall.

3.  I just retired as a social servicer worker for Head Start

4.  Was in the second class for Operating Room Techs.  I trained and worked at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii

5.  I live in the 70 year old house I grew up in.  It is very old and antique like me.

6.  I play an online game called World of Warcraft

7.  I have 2 grown children and 2 wonderful grandchildren.  All live close to me .

8.  Judy (the owner of Digi Doodle Shop) and I have met in real life before.  It is a very small world.

9.  I watch all the Law & Order shows.

10.  I listen to audio books  and love the crime thrillers ones.

OK that is done and I have to say that it was a hard thing to find 10 things people don’t know about me.  Nest step is to pass this award on to some friends that inspire me.

For the box and card I used SU Summer Sun card stock and the white picket fence was with the Easter Basket template that is for sell too.  The vegetable paper is from Cosmo Cricket "Garden Variety".  I cut out some of the vegetables and attached them with dimensionals .  The ribbon is a piece of SU old olive.  The sentiment I printed from my computer.  The labels are also templates that  Leigh Ann has created but not for sale yet.

Custom Stamps from Digi Doodle Shop

Digi Doodle Shop will open April 1, 2010.  I am so excited for the first challenge of the new Design Team for Digi Doodle Shop's Best.  We will have challenges every week and will be having so much fun that I hope all of you join us.

Judy the owner of the shop asked me for pictures of my 2 doggies because she was going to carry custom stamps in her shop.  So of course I jumped at the chance and it wasn't but like a day later that she gave me the digital stamps of my dogs.  I cried when I got them because they are wonderful images and their spirits were captured as well....

Testing : Comcast having problems today in the south !!!!

I only have about 5 posts to do today and Comcast is not cooperating …. maybe go take a nap and plan on being a night owl tonight…..  otherwise I am in trouble…. this is one of my cats her name is Annie Purrl…. she is a mess….. if this works I will be using my msn writer program…..  here goes

Been busy you would just never know it !!!!!

Here is a collection of cards I have made lately.  The distressed one above I swear is the same color ribbon as the hydrangea but it sure doesn't look like it in photo .  At least the one beside is is the right color.  The large bunny is a stamp off my friend Kathy stamped of me.  I love that stamp.  I colored him with Copic Markers and the hydrangeas as well.  The other hope you day is fabulous is a stamp set my friend Kathy gave me.  I love it and has other filler stamps.  It is a RS Tapestry Clear Stamp and I don't see ant other name on it.  Great stamp.   Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

New Design Team for Digi Doodle Shop

The new design team for Digi Doodle Shop is now in place and we are all so excited to get going.  The first challenge for Digi Doodle Shop's Best will be April 1.  And the Digi Doodle Shop has their Grand Opening on that day too.  It is only 9 days away.  Please go and visit the new teams blogs and say hello.

I made this card the other day with 3 of the stamps that will be in Digi Doodle Shop.
love to color their stamps and they are perfect for that.  You can make them as large or small as you want.  I love digital stamps and of course Digi Doodle Shop's stamps are my favorite.  Ok..... enough chatting and on with the show.......

I {heart} copics challenge #5

I created this card today to enter the i {heart} copics challenge # 5.  I didn't have the exact colors but instead used B32, R20, V12, RV13, Y32, E31, YG95, & YG97.  I followed the sketch exactly.  I love working with sketches.  Makes it easier for me because I don't have to decide how to put the images and embellishments on the card. 

The stamp is by Digi Doodle Shop.  The shop won't be open till April 1 but this is a little review of one of the stamps that will be for sale in the shop.  The shop also will have sentiments, custom stamps, and Judy does blog designs that you can purchase at the shop as well.  We are really excited to get it open.  This is the last week for the DT Call and the shop and challenge will go live on April 1.  You can visit the challenge blog now and look around.

Sketch Girl Challenge # 14

Sketch Girl is sponsored by Frenzified.  The owner provided us with digital stamps from her store.  Her stamps are so much fun to work with.  I colored the tea pot with my Copic Markers and then cut the stamp out.  I printed the sentiment out which is also available on Frenzified .  I went over the words with a Black Spica Markers and then cut it out.  And mounted it with dimensionals.  Next I  mounted the teapot on the doilie that I cut from a piece of the Basic Black, Nook & Pantry collection.  The brown polka dot piece of paper was in my stash and the piece of paper from a dictionary is from  October Afternoon, Cherry Hill.

Digi Doodle Shop – Easter Egg Girl

Here is another card that I made using one of the stamps that will be carried in the Digi Doodle Shop when it opens very soon.  And as soon as we have a date I will let you know.

And the first challenge goes live with the brand new Design Team on the first day of April.  The challenge blog, Digi Doodle Shop’s Best is active and you can go there and check things out.  We would love to have everyone be a follower and mark our site so you can join us in our challenges starting April 1

 

I used a piece of dark purple card and a piece of Papertrey Ink’s Egg Hunt paper.  I am loving this paper and have used it a lot lately.  I colored the image with just about every color Copic Marker I have.  The buttons are from my button stash and thinking they probably vintage button from Papertrey Ink too.  The thin ribbon used for bow in button is also from Papertrey Ink.  Can you tell I love Digi Doodle Shop’s stamps and Papertrey Inks paper products. 

I didn’t have any guesses on who Mr. Dodiddle is.  He is going to be seen a lot.  And he is naughty and sometimes makes people do things they wouldn’t normally do.

St. Patty Day – Free Stamp & Challenge Entry

I love this stamp !!!!! Isn’t he just the cutest ?  He is a stamp from Digi Doodle Shop and since the shop might not be open by St. Patty Day, the owner Judy has agreed to give this stamp away until St. Patty’s Day.  You will need to go to the Digi Doodle Shop’s Best challenge blog site and pick it up.  Make sure to look around and leave us some love and follow us if you want to stay in touch. 

I colored him with my Copic Markers and used SU’s retired Wild Wasabi CS. The patterned paper is from my scrap box and the sentiment and circle are from “The Cutting Cafe”.

I am so excited because Digi Doodle Shop is also going to have sentiments to sell.  I am just so excited and can’t wait.

Digi Doodle Shop’s Stamp and Perfect Presentation Template

It is wonderful and such an honor to be friends with such  talented artist and these two friends Leigh Ann and Judy are tops.

I have been playing today with a new template of Perfect Presentations that should be for sale in the next couple of days.  Leigh Ann sells her great templates in the shop called Wild Flower Patch.  They come in different formats and are so inexpensive.  Her templates come with picture instructions and dimensions of all the pieces.

And this stamp that you can get very soon at Digi Doodle Shop.  Isn’t she just the cutest image and so easy to color as all of Judy and her mom’s stamps are.  The shop should be open within the next couple of weeks so there is just going to be lots and lots of new and wonderful stamps.

A Preview

This card was made with one of the stamps that will be available in the new  Digi Doodle Shop.  This new shop is owned by Judy and she and her mom are the stamp creators.  This is just one of the 100s of stamps that will be available in the shop when it opens. 
The shop will have digital stamps, blog designs, and custom stamp. I am jumping with excitement about all the wonderful things that these talented women have created and made available for you.

I made this card for my sister-in-law's mother.  My SIL lost her dad in the last couple of weeks and I wanted the card to be bright and cheery.

Hero Arts Spring Challenge Cards

I entered these two cards in Hero Arts Spring Challenge.  The Butterflies are digital stamps and the other flower is a cling stamp from Hero Arts.  I like how they turned out so thought I would share them with you....

Judy's Easter Bunny Stamp

I colored this wonderfully cute digital stamp that Judy, my friend created.  I colored him with My Copic Markers and cute a piece of the new patterned paper "Egg Hunt" by Papertrey Ink, with Spellbinder Deckle Rectangle Die.  I stamped the background with Text Style by Papertrey Ink.

I am sure this cute little stamp will be in Judy's new shop that will be open sometime around the 1st of April.    The new name is going to be Digi Doodle Shop.  I will be announcing the grand opening date here so stay tuned......
